We appreciate the privilege of having the IS Department being "spot-lighted" on the Cananwill web site, and, feel honored to have an opportunity to address you, my customers, and, in my favorite medium of choice, the internet.

Being an 18-year veteran of Cananwill, and a 36-year veteran in technology I would like to focus this article on three of my favorite things:

  1. You, the Customer: In no particular sequence, our customers range the gamut of Insured, Agency, Insurance Carrier, MGA / U, Broker, Cananwill, regulatory agency, auditor, agency management software company and any individual or entity who deals with data in or out of our facility. We believe quality customer service is paramount to maintaining solid relationships, and, solid relationships often generate new and improved opportunities to mutually increase revenue or decrease expense within that relationship. It's not just about rate.
  2. My Department: In no uncertain terms, these people have been wonderful to work with since we share the precept of customer service. Some of you may have had an opportunity to witness this first hand. Our ears are in tune with what is transmitted by you, either indirectly through our sales personnel or, directly from you. We strive to provide the best service possible within our means, hence our motto; I.S. Is Service.
  3. My Granddaughter: Coming on the age of 5, has successfully transformed her parents from independent, carefree, no pressure types into service oriented individuals. She has CEO written all over her.

 

Noteworthy

During the course of 2006, Cananwill's IS department moved from downtown Philadelphia to Hatboro, Pennsylvania. The Hatboro facility provides a few additional layers of business continuity safety netting previously unavailable in the Philadelphia office space. Power outages will never be the same in Hatboro with the electric generators powered up in nanoseconds. Redundant air handlers alleviate rolling out the large Hollywood wind fans. Security service is 24/7.  The luxury of having these items provides a new level of processing availability, like never before.

EPF Plus, our "premier" software offering in 2006, will be extended and enhanced in 2007 to streamline the premium financing process, saving time and effort for both your agency and your insureds.

On February 22nd, AMS® announced its PREVAIL Network© offering.  Prevail is a free, online, agent-oriented premium finance marketplace designed to provide insurance agents one-click access to multiple premium finance offerings. Cananwill is very much a part of this network, and thanks AMS for the opportunity to participate in such a unique concept and service offering. As the largest Premium Finance Company participating with AMS and the Prevail Network team, Cananwill continues our mission to make doing business with Cananwill easier than it currently is.

 

In Closing

March is already upon us, a quarter near a close, spring in the air, and we're excited to see many Cananwill plans coming to fruition. We hope you use and enjoy our improvements; they were made with you in mind.
